The Lyric has taken to the airwaves with brand-new radio advertising, now live and turning heads across the West Coast.
Inspired by the unmistakable delivery of Bob Danvers-Walker, famed voice of the British Pathé newsreels between 1940's - 1970, these adverts blend vintage authority with a wink of charismatic silliness.
Bob Danvers-Walker (pictured) was a British radio and newsreel announcer best known as the voice of Pathé News cinema newsreels during the Second World War and for many years afterward. His voice was described as "clear, fruity and rich, with just the suggestion of raffishness".
