The Lyric hits the airwaves

The Lyric has taken to the airwaves with brand-new radio advertising, now live and turning heads across the West Coast.

Inspired by the unmistakable delivery of Bob Danvers-Walker, famed voice of the British Pathé newsreels between 1940's - 1970, these adverts blend vintage authority with a wink of charismatic silliness.
Bob Danvers-Walker

Bob Danvers-Walker (pictured) was a British radio and newsreel announcer best known as the voice of Pathé News cinema newsreels during the Second World War and for many years afterward. His voice was described as "clear, fruity and rich, with just the suggestion of raffishness".

Listeners are encouraged to tune their dials to CoastFM and keep an ear out for our distinctive announcements - celebrating live performance, community spirit, and what’s arriving soon in Granity.

New recordings roll out each month, so listen often; you never know what delight might be announced next.
