We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to Patricia and Tony for their tremendous generosity in volunteering their time to operating the cafe every weekend over the past 12 months.
As well as playing vital roles in the rebuild of The Lyric Theatre, they have continued to keep the doors open, engaging visitors and providing a comfortable, inviting atmosphere every weekend since the reopening of the theatre in 2022.
With the events industry arguably one of the hardest hit sectors during covid, event calendars have been slow to repopulate nationwide, even more so in remote communities such as our own. Their dedication to keeping the candles lit, welcoming guests to wander through our unique venue and engage with the theatre’s history as well as its guardians has been invaluable, we are incredibly thankful to them both.
Patricia and Tony will be enjoying a very well-deserved, extended break from early December 2023 and we look forward to welcoming them back home later in 2024 with open arms.
