The magic of The Lyric Theatre is not just the venue, but its people.
People who go the distance, contribute their time and efforts to bring activities and events to life and in turn, provide a safe space for members of our community to gather and connect.
Nicki Banks of Granity is one such person who has been faithfully running the Morning Tea and Natter, every Friday for the past year.
A significant commitment every week, the activity regularly gathers 6-10 community members for tea, coffee and biscuits each Friday, utilising the cafe space of the theatre and providing a space for topical discussion and human connection.
We were surprised and sincerely humbled when the group recently decided to donate the proceeds of their entry fee collection back to the theatre!
Morning Tea and Natter has now ended for 2024 but will resume again on Friday 24th January 2025.
We thank Nicki for her enduring efforts in keeping this important activity going for our community and wish the Tea and Natter group a happy holiday break
