Lend a Hand
- The Lyric Theatre is operated by a small but devoted team of community volunteers.
- Giving back is always a rewarding feeling, whether it’s helping someone in need, getting involved in a cause, or spreading the success stories that are happening in your neighbourhood. There are countless ways to support our work, many of which do not cost a cent, so if you’ve been wanting a little inspiration on how you can get involved, we’ve put together 9 ideas of the best ways you can help us to keep delivering positive opportunities to our community.
indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.

2.
CLICK 'ATTENDING' ON EVENTS
By clicking 'Attending' or 'Interested' on our event pages, you assure visiting performers that their event/show will be well supported.
3.
SHARE OUR POSTS/EVENTS
Sharing our content significantly increases our online audience and helps to spread the word with people we might not otherwise reach.
- We primarily use facebook for promoting our events, sharing our stories and marketing the theatre as a destination for arts and culture.
- Social media platforms use algorithms that limit the reach of content based on engagement. Engaging with our content on facebook helps us to reach a broader audience and brings diverse opportunities to our community.
4.
REVIEW YOUR EXPERIENCE
Audience review forms are available at the ticket booth during all events or can be completed online anytime HERE
- Reviewing our events isn't just a box-ticking exercise.
- In addition to sharing positive reviews directly with performers following their event, data from audience feedback is often used to support grants funding, both at the application stage and as part of our accountability reporting.
- Without audience feedback or qualitative data showing community support, we would not be eligible for funding from national providers.
5.

Come along and bring a friend
- Come to our shows.
- As the largest indoor venue in Northern Buller, we are able to cater to audiences of 180+.
- However, when audience numbers are low (under 50), the theatre is prone to financial losses and reputational damage.
7.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER

- Volunteers are the life-force of The Lyric Theatre - our events are simply not possible without their time and energy.
- While we are very fortunate to have a very high performing volunteer work-force, we are always on the look out for people who want to support our mahi and help to deliver high quality cultural and social experiences to our community.
8.
JOIN OUR SOCIETY
