'Pretty Good Behaviour'
ROARS Off Broadway present:
'Pretty Good Behaviour'
A play written by Tim Hambleton.
SYNOPSIS:
An experimental prison in a National Park is under threat of closure as the inexperienced manager has been releasing prisoners for “good behaviour”
And there are now too few inmates left for the place to be viable. Some of the prisoners are desperate to keep the prison open as they have hit upon various schemes which take full advantage of the natural surroundings. Meanwhile, a ministry official visits, intent on closing the prison, forcing staff and prisoners to co-operate in an all out effort to keep the facility open.
"We were lucky enough to be in Reefton when the local theatre group, ROARS, were performing a play called “Pretty Good Behaviour” by Tim Hambleton. Wow, what a wonderful find. The theatre was small and comfortably inviting, and on this night, packed out. We were treated to an absolute delight of a performance. The opening act provided an unexpected and totally hilarious twist!. It sent the audience into raptures and set the vibe for the rest of the play. We thoroughly enjoyed this play and were impressed with the calibre of the actors. A very polished and well presented performance. I would highly recommend seeing this troupe if you get the chance. I guess you could say, we struck gold in Reefton."
